Kerabie collects behavioural data about each visitor session to help your team provide faster, more contextual support. No third-party tracking pixels are used; all data flows directly to Kerabie.

Identifying visitors

Pass known user data from your app to Kerabie using the widget SDK:

<script>
  window.KERConfig = {
    widgetKey: "wk_yourkey_here",
    user: {
      name: "Jane Smith",
      email: "jane@example.com",
      userId: "user_123",
      plan: "pro"          // custom attribute
    }
  };
</script>

Any fields you pass under user are stored as visitor attributes and visible in the conversation sidebar and Visitors list.

Custom attributes

You can pass any key/value pair under user, not just name and email. Custom attributes appear in:

  • The visitor profile panel during conversations
  • The Visitors list (filterable)
  • Automation conditions (e.g. plan = enterprise)

Data retention

Visitor session data is retained for 12 months on all paid plans, 30 days on Free.

GDPR considerations

  • Kerabie processes visitor data as a data processor on your behalf; you are the data controller
  • The session cookie (kw_session) is strictly necessary for the widget to function; it does not require explicit consent under ePrivacy rules in most jurisdictions, but consult your legal team
  • Visitors can request deletion via your Contacts panel or by submitting a GDPR request to you directly
