Offline Mode
What visitors see when your team isn't available.
The widget shows your team as offline when either:
- no agent is signed in to Kerabie (on the web dashboard or mobile app), or
- you've set the availability switcher at the top of Settings → Widget Settings to Away.
Away is a manual override, use it to go offline for holidays or after hours even while agents are still signed in. It takes effect for visitors right away, no save needed. The switcher shows No agents online when it's set to Available but nobody is signed in.
What visitors see
While you're offline, the chat window shows your offline message (set under Settings → Widget Settings → Messages). Visitors can still send messages; they land in your inbox for when you're back.
If the AI chatbot is enabled, the offline message isn't shown; the bot keeps answering whether or not an agent is available.
Email follow-up
If a visitor who has shared their email messages you while you're offline, Kerabie emails them to confirm their message was received, so they know to watch their inbox for your reply.
