Announcement Campaigns
Send a one-time message to all visitors currently on your site.
An announcement is a broadcast message sent simultaneously to every visitor who currently has the Kerabie widget open on your site. It's a real-time megaphone, useful for time-sensitive updates.
Creating an announcement
- Go to Campaigns → New campaign → Announcement
- Write your message: keep it short (1–2 sentences)
- Optionally add a call to action button (label + URL)
- Preview the widget appearance
- Click Send now or Schedule
Scheduling
Announcements can be sent immediately or scheduled for a future date and time. Scheduled announcements trigger for visitors who are active at that exact moment, not visitors who come later.
Examples
New feature launch:
"🎉 Our new AI assistant is live! Ask it anything; it's trained on our full help centre."
Scheduled maintenance:
"We'll be down for maintenance on Saturday 10–11 AM UTC. Chat support will be limited during this time."
Limited-time offer:
"Flash sale: 30% off all plans today only. Use code FLASH30 at checkout."
Delivery
The announcement appears as a message in the widget chat, the same as a message from an agent, but sent by the system. Visitors can reply to it, which starts a live conversation.
If a visitor has the widget open but minimised, the widget badge updates to show the new message.
Reach
The announcement reaches only visitors currently on site with the widget loaded; it is not an email blast or a push notification. Visitors who arrive after the announcement is sent do not see it.
Analytics
After sending, view Campaigns → [campaign name] to see:
- Total delivered
- Opened (visitor saw it)
- Replied (visitor sent a message back)
